Balancing elements across three stages plus a side stage, each of which changes what the resource in front of you is for. It opens quietly and gives you very little, and the first stage transition is where it starts making sense.
Nagshell has a following for these and it shows in the pacing: the difficulty is in working out what the game wants, not in waiting. Give it longer than the first five minutes. Several hours if it takes with you, and a Discord full of people comparing routes if it really does.
